It is evident that job stressors significantly affect employee’s level of job satisfaction, commitment, and retention behavior. However, little has been known about such behavioral aspects from the oil and gas industry’s perspective. Therefore, this study aims to examine the relationship between job stressors, burnout, job satisfaction, and turnover intention in the context of the Malaysian oil and gas industry. It is hypothesized that time pressure and workload positively affect burnout, whereas, burnout negatively affects job satisfaction and consequently job satisfaction negatively affects turnover intention.
