The aim of this thesis is to look at the use of neologisms in Alastair Reynolds’s Revelation Space and to examine how they have been translated in the Finnish translation of the novel. There is not much research in the field of translation of science fiction, especially when it comes to Finnish translations. The goal of the thesis was to investigate how the translator has managed to translate the neologisms and at the same time to observe whether he has been successful in conveying the same kind of concepts as the author has intended.
