This thesis is a comparison of different mobile antenna solutions suitable for three band downlink carrier aggregation in long term evolution (LTE) systems. The most important comparable performance metric is the total efficiency including the required RF front end configuration. Also, the total volume occupied by the antenna elements and the transmission lines from the front end to the antennas is compared.
