Translation of Prežih\u27s dialect lexis into English

Prežihov Voranc (18931950), born as Lovro Kuhar in Kotje na Koroškem (Slovenia), was a self-taught writer, an author of novels, stories, short stories, sketch stories and travelogues. The short story Samorastniki (The Self-Sown) was published in the 1940 collection with the same title and includes eight short stories. The collection is entitled as the last short story The Self-Sown (Samorastniki), which is also the subject of this analysis. Prežih\u27s style is based on the Slovene standard language, while the Carinthian dialect features are visible in dialect lexis, set expressions and metaphors.
