Report 76 Fewer Influenza Cases

Anderson, City Health Officer said that he was not prepared to say whether or not the epidemic was falling off• Cabaret entertainment and music in the restaurants was placed under the ban yesterday by the city health office when it was found that the music and entertainment had a tendency to cause diners to linger longer and a tendency to violate the order prohibiting crowds• Two soft drink establishments that had failed to observe the order of the city health office against loitering were closed yesterday and their proprietors arrested• Strict isolation of influenza cases in private families was urged yesterday by the city health office• Reports of numerous cases in families contracted from an original case not properly isolated were received yesterday• Families are urged to put the patient in a room where there is good light and ventilation• One family member should be selected to wait upon the sick member and all other members of the family should be prohibited• No orders or suggestions as to wearing masks have been received from Dr. Tuttle, state commissioner of health. Dr. Tuttle has suggested masks for persons riding street cars or trains in Seattle• Dr. John B.
