Notre Dame\u27s Physiotherapy Course Receives Full Accreditation

The University of Notre Dame Australia has been notified by the Australian Physiotherapy Council (APC) of their overwhelming support for the full accreditation for the Bachelor of Physiotherapy and Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) programs. “The University and its physiotherapy program are commended for the clarity of the submission, for the comprehensive analyses undertaken and for the outcomes of their first cohort of physiotherapy graduates,” wrote Margaret Grant, Chief Executive Officer, APC. The four year Physiotherapy program which commenced in 2003, has undertaken a three-stage process of accreditation which culminated in the survey of its first cohort of graduates and the clinical facilities with whom they are now employed. This survey reinforced the effectiveness of its teaching program for entry-level physiotherapy. Professor Peter Hamer, Head of Physiotherapy paid tribute to the physiotherapy staff, the support from the physiotherapy profession and the clinical facilities and their clinicians who have embraced and provided the extensive academic and clinical education requirements for entry into the physiotherapy profession.
