The University of Notre Dame Australia (UNDA) went for a ‘giant’ stroll with the local Fremantle community recently in an attempt to break a world record for the most people walking at once. Registered as an official walk site, Notre Dame students and staff made their way to the Esplanade and joined other Fremantle walkers doing their bit for ‘WA’s Giant Walk, Guinness World Record Challenge.’ The event coincided with ‘Be Active WA’ day and was an initiative by the Premier’s Physical Activity Taskforce to encourage people to be more active. “All up we had 74 participants from UNDA join the walk,” said Associate Dean of Health Sciences, Beth Hands. “It was great to see the University out there promoting physical activity and getting involved...
