Sprinting students, purple tutus and novelty relays, were all part of the fun at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle’s fourth annual West End Dash. The event saw a section of High street blocked off for the 110m dash – a race organised by third year health and physical education students as part of their sports event management course. The occasion kicked off with the men’s and women’s races. Arts student, Daniel Juckes won the men’s race and Exercise and Sports Science student, Chandell Fretwell won the women’s. The day continued with a dress up ‘Vintage’ race for Notre Dame staff, a sprint relay and a novelty relay where teams had to swap costumes at the end of each leg.
