Dottorato di ricerca in Ingegneria dei sistemi agrari e forestaliL’obiettivo principale di questa tesi è stato quello di applicare la spettroscopia nel vicino infrarosso (NIR) su olive colpite dalla mosca dell’olivo (Bactrocera oleae), per indagare la possibilità di discriminare le olive sane da quelle danneggiate dall’insetto. I buoni risultati ottenuti e lo studio della bibliografia del settore hanno portato alla pubblicazione di diversi articoli sull’applicazione di questa metodologia non distruttiva nel settore oleicolo, dato anche il notevole interesse economico rivolto alla produzione di olio extravergine di oliva di ottima qualità.
