The development of the nauplius stage of Ostrincola koe (Copepoda, Cyclopoida), a commensal of a clam, Tapes (Amygdala) philippinarum, was studied and the external morphology of each nauplius stage was described. Nauplii needed no foods to develop and molt into the first copepodite instar. There were 5 nauplius instars. The first nauplius was about 0.16 mm in body length and the fifth nauplius was 0.18 mm.
