This study determines the effect of salinity on (1) growth and development; (2) body size; (3) egg-carrying rate; (4) life cycle stages of copepod Apocyclops panamensis isolated from an intensive white shrimp (Lipopenaeus vannamei) pond. The experiment was conducted in a completely randomized design with three replicates in 250 mL flasks with three salinity treatments (10, 20, 30‰). The copepod life cycle was determined by raising ten egg-carrying adult copepods in ten flasks of 5 mL cell culture plates (ten replicates). The results show that the growth and development rate, body size and egg-carrying rate of copepod depend on salinity. The 20‰ salinity provides better results than 10 and 30‰ (p < 0.05). The total development time of the nauplius stage is about 2–3 days, copepodite lasts 9–14 days, and the egg-carrying lasts about 2–3 days. The fecundity of Apocyclops panamensis is 5,5 ± 1,05 eggs/female/day, and the reproductive span is 34,01 ± 5,77 h.Nghiên cứu này xác định ảnh hưởng của độ mặn đến (1) sinh trưởng và phát triển; (2) kích thước; (3) tỷ lệ mang trứng; (4) thời gian của các giai đoạn trong vòng đời của copepoda Apocyclops panamensis phân lập từ ao nuôi tôm chân trắng (Lipopenaeus vannamei) thương phẩm. Thí nghiệm được bố trí theo kiểu ngẫu nhiên hoàn toàn với ba lần lặp lại trong các bình tam giác thể tích 250 mL với ba nghiệm thức độ mặn (10, 20, 30‰). Vòng đời của copepoda được xác định bằng cách cho mười cá thể copepoda trưởng thành mang trứng vào mười đĩa cấy tế bào loại 5 mL, tương ứng với mười lần lặp lại. Kết quả cho thấy tốc độ sinh trưởng và phát triển, kích thước cơ thể và tỷ lệ mang trứng của copepoda chịu tác động của độ mặn. Nuôi copepoda loài Apocyclops panamensis ở độ mặn 20‰ cho kết quả tốt hơn so với ở 10‰ và 30‰ (p < 0,05). Tổng thời gian phát triển của giai đoạn Nauplius là 2–3 ngày, Copepodite kéo dài 9–14 ngày và giai đoạn mang trứng kéo dài 2–3 ngày.
