Shijo Ohashi Bridge over the Kamo River

鴨川四条大橋を同橋東詰より西に望む｡この四条大橋は1874年に架けられた鉄橋で､高欄には球形の電灯が設けられる｡西詰北側には料亭､矢尾政が建つ｡橋の中央には｢山紫水明｣の銘を掲げた洋風アーチの門が仮設される｡橋の上には蝙蝠傘を日傘代わりにして歩く女性の姿が見える｡撮影は明治37年(1904)｡View of Shijo-Ohashi Bridge from across the Kamogawa River, facing west. The iron bridge was built in 1874 and has round lights on its parapets. Yaomasa Restaurant is located on the north side of the west end of the bridge. In the middle of the bridge is a Western-style temporary arch and a sign that says "Sanshisuimei (an expression to describe the beauty of the mountains and water)". Women holding parasols walk across the bridge. Taken in 1904
