In the article, the author tries to show a transformation in anthropology, as a result of which theconcept of culture moves to sociology. The paper is divided into three parts. In the first one theauthor, with Clifford Geertz, makes a criticism of structuralism. In the second part, she explains,what does the concept of meaning mean to Geertz and what role does it play in the process ofculture moving to sociology. In the last part, the author analyzes the concept of a local knowledge,because this knowledge embodies of this all transformation
