ABNORMAL LIPID PROFILE IN DIABETIC PATIENTS WITH ISCHEMIC HEART DISEASE

Aims and objectives: Diabetes is associated with the development of many cardiovascular diseases (CVD). The basic aim of the study was to analyze the abnormal lipid profile in diabetic patients with ischemic heart disease. Methodology of the study: This cross-sectional study was conducted in RIC during January 2019 to January 2020. The data was collected from 100 patients of both genders. The data were collected through randomly selected sampling technique. There were two groups of study one was suffering from diabetes and one was non diabetic patients. Results: The data were collected from 100 patients. The study subjects were divided: on the basis of health condition into normal, N group; non-diabetic and atherosclerotic, NA group; and diabetic and atherosclerotic, DA group. Conclusion: Considering the high prevalence of CVD in old age, morbidity rate can be reduced by controlling diabetes and hence, diabetes induced lipid abnormalities in these patients through different approaches, for example by changing lifestyle like dietary habits, by regular exercise and medical examination
