Miller, 1902, “San Javier [Esmeraldas], northern Ecuador.” Artibeus ravus, along with smaller species of Artibeus, 1s placed in Dermanura; however, after reinterpretation of molecular analyses, this clade was reassigned to Artibeus (subgenus Dermanura).
