МУЗЕЙ ИСТОРИИ НУА В СИСТЕМЕ НЕПРЕРЫВНОГО ОБРАЗОВАНИЯ АКАДЕМИИ (20-летию Музея истории НУА посвящается)

The article deals with the PUA History Museum for the 20 years of its existence and functioning in an educational establishment of a new type. Museum pedagogy is defined as a system of parallel education with unique opportunities of learning and a specific structure of the whole didactic process. A museum in a higher educational establishment is a special structure, storing and multiplying all the legacy of the educational establishment. Curricula, accepted in many countries, consider visiting such museums an integral part of the educational process. In this regard attention is focused on the attitudes of the museum itself, striving to maintain active partnership with teachers. The peculiarity of work of the PUA History Museum is connected with the unique nature of this educational establishment, with the idea of lifelong education in its basis. The PUA History Museum is an active participant of creating and developing a certain cultural and educational atmosphere, which is necessary for training specialists, who match the demands of a modern labour market. Teaching and educational museum activities lie in keeping, studying and demonstrating cultural and historic values, which are connected both with the history of Kharkiv University of Humanities ‘People’s Ukrainian Academy’ and with the development of education in Kharkiv region and in Ukraine in general. Another responsible and complex part of museum work is connected with teaching and curriculum activities, collecting new materials and documents, as well as with systematizing museum collections
