THE ROLE OF THE APO-B/APO-A-I RATIO IN THE COURSE OF CORONARY HEART DISEASE

Purpose of the study: to study the role of apoproteins of atherogenic and antiatherogenic lipoproteins (LP), as well as the ratio (R) of apo-B / apo-A-I in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD), angina pectoris FC II-III. Materials and methods:100 patients diagnosed with coronary artery disease; exertional angina FC II-III were examined. The average age of patients was 63.3±13.4 years. Of the examined patients, 43% were men, women accounted for 57%. All patients were determined their blood lipid spectrum, the level of the main apoproteins apo-AI, apo-B, and the R of apo-B/apo-A-I was also calculated. Results: The content of LDL was 3.6±0.1, which corresponds to the borderline level of CVD risk. In the general study group, the ratio of apo-B/apo-A-I was 1.31±0.01 and was in the zone of high risk of developing CVD. The prevalence of subclinical hypothyroidism was 3 times higher in the group of examined women than in men and amounted to 28.1% and 9.3% respectively. Conclusion. An increase in the ratio of concentration of the main apoproteins of atherogenic and antiatherogenic LP apo-B/apo-A-I is observed in both groups of studied patients and increases with the severity of the patients' condition (presence of concomitant hypertension, diabetes, hypothyroidism, obesity, hypodynamia). The study of the content of LDL in IHD angina pectoris in the examined patients corresponds to the borderline level of risk of developing CVD.
