In der Industrie ist ein wachsender Bedarf nach einfachen Verfahren zur Oberflächenstrukturierung mit immer kleineren Strukturgrößen, zusammen mit einer Funktionalisierung der Oberflächen, zu erkennen. Die Erzeugung laserinduzierter periodischer Oberflächenstrukturen ("laser-induced periodic surface structures", LIPSS) stellt eine solche technische Realisierung in einem Einschritt-Verfahren dar, welches ohne komplexe Präparation oder Nachbereitung auskommt. Zur vollständigen Kontrolle der LIPSS ist es jedoch notwendig, die fundamentalen Wirkmechanismen ihrer Entstehung zu verstehen. An dieser Stelle setzt die vorliegende Arbeit an.
