The experimentation described in this article concerns a neglected dimension of the didactics of reading. Learning to read usually focuses on the acquisition of linguistic skills, skipping over microskills - such as being able to stop, then start again reading or to annotate a text - though they are essential tools for the interpretation of a long text.
