This extended abstract suggest a new illumination handling for computer animation. It introduces a user oriented set of illumination parameteres, that enalbles the uniform control of illumination features. Additionally, the dynamic illumination evaluation is presented. For each pixel, the different illumination components are evaluated in an specific order, taking care of the human eyes adaptive recognition of intensities. Thus it should be possible to increase the dynamic range of light intensity distributions in synthetic images
