Prof De Saeger predicts that moslims will represent 20% of the Belgian population. He warns against the ultraorthodox versions of islamic as wel as jewish religions. The state should not subsidize any religious institutions nor humanist counsellors. Politicians and opinion makers should promote a common set of civil values, but, he says, we have not enough qualified teachers even in higher education.
