Cascading Visions

I view my work as a look into dreams, thoughts, ideas. My themes are universal, but their source derives from my specific surroundings, the Rio Grande Valley. They come out from the rows in the fields where we grow our foods, in the skies, and from the sun that warms our blood. Themes come from what I see as well as what I imagine, living and not. I consider myself a farmer, but now I harvest ideas and concepts, and have my paintings and drawings to show for my labor. I believe one must contribute to the land before one can take from it. I am not content to just copy what I see; I try to bring forth life into my art, and find value in my thoughts, exposing personal feelings through my work.
