Comportamiento ético del personal de enfermería desde la percepción del estudiante del servicio social

Introduction: Ethics is a normative knowledge that has the purpose of guiding the actions of human beings. Care in its relation to ethics deals with responsible actions and moral relationships between people, motivated by achieving the care of their peers or their own. The ethical behavior of the nurse must be in relation to respect for life, dignity and rights of the human being. Objective: To determine the ethical behavior of the nursing professional from the perception of the social service student. Method: quantitative, non-experimental, descriptive and cross-sectional approach, the sample was non-probabilistic for convenience, was made up of 58 students from the Universidad Veracruzana, faculty of nursing of Orizaba who were studying social service in a hospital. Results: 12.1% of men and 43.1% of women perceive the ethics of nursing staff unfavorably, while 3.4% belong to the male gender and 41.4% belong to the female gender perceive it favorably. Conclusions: It is essential to emphasize the need to implement strategies and plans for continuous improvement based on ethics and moral commitment. Theoretical, heuristic and axiological knowledge must be reinforced in the Nursing License Curriculum programs to contribute to the professional skills of its graduates so that they have ethical behavior when they enter the professional field.Introducción: La ética es un saber normativo que tiene la finalidad de orientar las acciones de los seres humanos. El cuidado en su relación con la ética se ocupa de las acciones responsables y de las relaciones morales entre las personas, motivadas por lograr el cuidado de sus semejantes o el suyo propio. El comportamiento ético de la enfermera debe estar en relación con el respeto por la vida, la dignidad y los derechos del ser humano. Objetivo: determinar el comportamiento ético del profesional de enfermería desde la percepción del estudiante del servicio social. Método: enfoque cuantitativo, no experimental, descriptivo y transversal, la muestra fue de tipo no probabilística por conveniencia, se conformó por 58 estudiantes de la Universidad Veracruzana, facultad de enfermería de Orizaba que se encontraban cursando el servicio social en algún hospital. Resultados: el 12.1% de los hombres y 43.1% de las mujeres perciben la ética del personal de enfermería de manera desfavorable, mientras que el 3.4% de los masculinos y 41.4% femeninos, lo percibe favorable. Conclusiones: es fundamental hacer énfasis en la necesidad de implementar estrategias y planes de mejora continua basados en la ética y el compromiso moral. Se deben reforzar los saberes teóricos, heurísticos y axiológicos en los programas del Plan de estudio de la licencia en enfermería para contribuir a las competencias profesionales de sus egresados a fin que tengan un comportamiento ético cuando estos se inserten en el ámbito profesional
