Ethics and the art of caring

En el artículo se trabaja el cuidado de enfermería como fin y la esencia de la profesión de la enfermería. Reflexiona en torno al profesional de enfermería en como cuidador -en el cuidado de sí-, de los otros y del ambiente en relación con el sujeto de cuidado -individuos, familias y colectivos-. Plantea los principios éticos y las virtudes morales como componentes éticos del cuidar y concluye con algunas prioridades a tener en cuenta para el cuidado de enfermería.The article works nursing care as the ultimate and the essence of the nursing profession. It considers the professional nurse as care given care itself -the others and the environment in relation to the subject of care- individual, families and collectives- It states the principles of ethics and moral virtues as ethical components of caring and concludes with some very precise recommendations for nursing care of excellent quality
