Lo scopo del nostro lavoro è stato di verificare la capacità di embrioni bufalini di crescere in vitro in due media di coltura definiti. Oociti di grado A e B sono stati recuperati da ovaie di animali macellati e maturati in vitro in TCM199. Dopo 22-24 ore essi sono stati fertilizzati in Fert-TALP e divisi in 2 gruppi: 420 presunti zigoti (260 grado A e 160 grado B) sono stati coltivati in SOF mentre 430 (265 grado A and 165 grado B) in KSOM per 7 giorni. Nessuna differenza è stata riscontrata tra i media, mentre un più alto tasso di cleavage e di morule + blastocisti è stato registrato negli oociti di grado A vs quelli di grado B, solo nel SOF e in totale indipendentemente dal medium
