Recently, buffalo in vitro embryo production presents high maturation rate (80%), moderate cleavage rate (50%), and moderate blastocyst formation rate (20%). IVP has a great potential to advance bubalinoculture as much as they have done for cattle. Although cattle and buffaloes are different, the technologies being developed are the same and the studies done with cattle can benefit buffaloes. However there are some constrains that have to be observed for biotechnology application on embryo production.
