IMPLEMENTASI LESSON STUDY UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PELAKSANAAN PENDEKATAN SCIENTIFIC GURU IPA SMP MUHAMMADIYAH 6 KABUPATEN MALANG

The learning process in the curriculum 2013 for every level is implemented by using scientific approach. The scientific approach on the teaching activity of science class can be applied through the science processing skill. Scientific approach will successfully implemented through the application of processing skill on the science class teaching presented with accurate strategy and methods. To reach that point, the teachers’ effort is needed in the implementation of the approach. one of the method is by using the Lesson Study activity. The activity is purposed as assistance on the planning and implementation of Lesson Study in developing the understanding and implementation of scientific approach for the science teachers at SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Malang regency. The significance of the research is that the science teachers at SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Malang regency able to design and implement the Lesson Study to improve the understanding and implementation of scientific approach. This community service in SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Malang regency in the odd semester 2014/2015 consist of (1) discussion on Lesson Study, (2) assistance in the designing of Lesson Study, (3) assistance in implementing the Lesson Study, (4) assistance in reflecting the Lesson Study, and (5) assistance in the follow-up of the Lesson Study. The findings on the community service at SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Malang regency is that the science teachers in SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Malang regency whom at the beginning do not understand and never implement the learning activity by using Lesson Study can implement the Lesson Study as a media to improve the capacity of science teaching by using the scientific approach through intensive assistance. Along with the first finding, the science teachers at SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Malang regency are able to design the learning implementation planning (RPP) which characterize the scientific approach, the skill to apply the scientific approach in science teaching, able to do the observation on the implemantation of the learning activity, and able to find the problems in the implemantation of Lesson Study and the solution. In parallel with the findings, the students of Biology Department during their field teaching experience (PPL) in SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Malang regency will get the direct experience on the implementation of Lesson Study in the learning activity by their active role in the teaching activity, both as a model teacher and the observer
