BEN : Une architecture pour des agents cognitifs, affectifs et sociaux dans la simulation

National audienceSocial simulation as a scientific tool requires the development of credible behaviour for agents modelling the behaviour of human actors. One way to improve the credibility of the resulting simulations is to integrate cognitive, affective and social dimensions into the agents’ decision making. However, developing agents with these dimensions can be complicated if one wants to remain accessible to researchers who are not experts in programming. The BEN (Behavior with Emotions and Norms) architecture couples affective and social dimensions to a BDI-based decision making for the development of social simulations. BEN is implemented in the multi-agent modelling and simulation platform GAMA and its use is illustrated here through a case study on the evacuation of a building.La simulation sociale en tant qu’outil scientifique nécessite le développement de comportements crédibles pour les agents modélisant le comportement d’acteurs humains. Une façon d’améliorer la crédibilité des simulations obtenues est d’intégrer des dimensions cognitives, affectives et sociales dans la prise de décision des agents. Pour autant, développer des agents avec ces dimensions peut s’avérer compliqué si l’on veut rester accessible à des chercheurs qui ne sont pas experts en programation. L’architecture BEN (Behavior with Emotions and Norms) couple des dimensions affectives et sociales à une prise de décisions basée sur une architecture BDI pour le développement de simulations sociales.
