Captain Pardon Dodds was the first excecutive of the Ute Indians in Whiterocks. He left there and came into the Ashley Valley with some cattle. He was the first person to build a home (cabin) in the valley. He married Minnie Hatch. He was born March 18, 1837 and died September 4, 1921
