Pardon Dodds and his wife in front of their log cabin, the first built in Ashley Valley. Dodds arrived in Whiterocks in 1866. He served as the first Indian Agent for the Ute Indian tribe from 1867 to 1873. He then moved to the Ashley Valley and built this cabin. (C.J.
