Background: Acne is a condition of clogged pores on the skin which then causes inflammation. This condition can be exacerbated by the activity of P. acnes, S. aureus, and S. epidermidis bacteria. Tea tree oil has medicinal effects as anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, effective for the treatment of wounds and acne with broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity.
