A tape recorded interview with Wesley Sommers conducted by Robert Swanson. Sommers was born in 1925 in Brooklyn, New York. He attended school at the University of Michigan and the New York State Maritime Academy before receiving his Ph. D. in Education from the University of Minnesota. In 1965, Sommers joined the staff at Stout as an assistant professor in industrial education. He was head of the Industrial Technology Department until 1967 when he became Special Assistant to the President. Later, he was named as Assistant Chancellor for Administrative Services.
