Salt encroachment study

Article explains the Western Australian Department of Conservation and Environment is undertaking a study of salt encroachment in the south-west land division, to ensure there is no duplication of research by State and Commonwealth bodies. Minister for Conservation and Environment, Mr. Jones said that he wanted to ensure that sufficient funds were available for both research and remedial work. Mr. Jones also said that private researchers, such as Mr. H.S. Whittington of Brookton, had made significant contributions to understanding salt land management.
