This paper discusses the morphological status of the spanish negative adverb no when preceded to nouns, where it seems to be working as a prefix. To this day, this function has not been yet deeply studied or it’s not even generally accepted. Thus, a total of 196 words derived from no- where analized to determine the peculiarities in this new words, including the formal and functional restrictions in the word formation proces of this affix.
