In recent decades, Brazil has implemented policies of international educational cooperation in public institutions of higher education with the aim of mitigating social, gender and ethnic-racial inequalities and as a way to pay the so-called historical debts with partner countries. An important portion of Brazilian academic research has focused on analyzing the effects of these policies on school trajectories.
