UPAYA PENURUNAN CACAT PRODUK DENGAN METODE SIX SIGMA (Studi Kasus di PT. Kali Telu Beton)

Company PT. Kali Telu Beton Tulungagung is a split stone manufacturing company located in Bendungan Village, Gondang District, Tulungagung Regency. This study aims to make efforts to reduce product defects by providing suggestions for improvement . In this study using the Six sigma method with the DMAIC concept. Based on the results of the implementation of the six sigma method at the define stage, it can be seen that the problems that occur in this company are experiencing rejection on the results of split stone products, namely dirty mixed with soil or mud, not according to the specified size and crushed stone. Based on the data obtained from the company, it can be seen that the total production from January to March 2022 was 11,000 tons, with the number of defective products amounting to 360 tons with a percentage of 3.27%. From the results of the control chart chart, it can be seen that there are data that are outside the control limits which indicate that the coral production process is not under control. Based on the results of the DPMO value of 10909.09 which means that out of a million opportunities there will be 10909.09 possibilities for the production process to produce defective products. and the sigma level value of 3.79 which shows that the company's current sigma level is still not able to approach six sigma so the coral (split stone) production process still needs to be improved
