PERILAKU PROSTITUSI ONLINE DI KALANGAN MAHASISWA (Studi Kasus Mahasiswa Pengguna Aplikasi Michat di Kota Malang)

The rapid development of communication with the internet allows a person to interact indirectly without having to meet in the same place. Prostitution using an application with an internet network makes it easier for students who work as commercial sex workers in the negotiation process, besides being more private and also safer from raids by security forces. One such chat application is MiChat. The MiChat application is very popular among PSKs because it is very easy, simple and very private for its users. This study uses a qualitative research method with a study case type. The technique of determining the research subject uses a purposive technique where the subject is taken intentionally according to research requirements. Data collection techniques used in this research are observation, interview, and documentation techniques. While the data analysis techniques in this study include data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the process of practicing online prostitution among students includes several processes including the initial phase, it can be said that the approach phase. Student prostitutes get consumers in three ways: introduced by friends, through social media, and through brokers. After getting consumers, the next stage is to get acquainted and make an agreement. In this stage, actors and consumers take approaches such as exchanging photos and entering into agreements regarding prices, time and duration of transactions, place of transactions, and the regulations that each prostitute has against consumers during the transaction process. Furthermore, the transaction phase, this phase is the conduct of transactions in the practice of prostitution. And finally, the final phase. This phase is the satisfaction of consumers with the services of the perpetrators, where if consumers are satisfied and happy with the services provided by the perpetrators, they will not infrequently be carried out or become customers.
