Inteligencias múltiples y educación universitaria. Un aporte a la pedagogía crítica

Thinking about a university education that transcends the modern western monocultural vision continues to be a great challenge for those of us who believe in a critical, plural, dialogical and intercultural pedagogy. Therefore, it is evident to value the contributions of the theory of multiple intelligences developed by Gardner to break with this epistemological bias of a univocal intelligence in the human being and to recognize the importance of training and learning from different cognitive perspectives that allow the strengthening of all the intelligences present in the individual in order to develop all their capacities and potentialities. In this sense, the purpose of this research is to analyze the theory of multiple intelligences and its contribution to university education through a qualitative methodology and from a hermeneutical approach that allows to assess and interpret the various contributions of both the reality addressed and the selection of bibliographic materials. It is concluded that the contribution of the theory of multiple intelligences in the university context seeks to rethink the epistemic and pedagogical route on training, taking into account each of the students' intelligences that allows them to develop their various personal qualities, to know themselves, and promote their life project framed in the socio-political and global reality of the great challenges that humanity faces in the XXI century.Pensar en una educación universitaria que trascienda la visión monocultural moderna occidental sigue siendo un gran reto para quienes creemos en una pedagogía crítica, plural, dialógica e intercultural. Por lo que se hace evidente valorar los aportes de la teoría de las inteligencias múltiples desarrollado por Gardner para romper con este sesgo epistemológico de una inteligencia univoca en el ser humano y reconocer la importancia de una formación y aprendizaje desde diversas perspectivas cognitivas que permitan el fortalecimiento de todas las inteligencias presentes en el individuo en aras de desarrollar todas sus capacidades y potencialidades. En este sentido, el propósito de esta investigación es analizar la teoría de las inteligencias múltiples y su aporte a la educación universitaria mediante una metodología cualitativa y desde un enfoque hermenéutico que permite valorar e interpretar las diversas contribuciones tanto de la realidad abordada como de la selección de materiales bibliográficos. Se concluye que el aporte de la teoría de las inteligencias múltiples en el contexto universitario procura replantarse la ruta epistémica y pedagógica sobre la formación, tomando en cuenta cada una de las inteligencias de los estudiantes que permita desarrollar sus diversas cualidades personales, conocerse a sí mismo, e impulsar su proyecto de vida enmarcado en la realidad sociopolítica y global de los grandes retos que tiene la humanidad en pleno siglo XXI
