An experimental validation of the new near-field - far-field transformation technique with helicoidal scan, which allows one to reduce the time needed for the near-field data acquisition, is here presented. Such a transformation, based on the theoretical results concerning the nonredundant sampling representations of the electromagnetic fields, employs a two-dimensional optimal sampling interpolation formula for the reconstruction of the nearfield data required by the near-field - far-field transformation with cylindrical scan.
