This paper concerns the experimental validation of the near-field – far-field transformation technique with helicoidal scanning. Such a technique, based on the theoretical results concerning the nonredundant sampling representations of the electromagnetic fields, makes use of a two-dimensional optimal sampling interpolation formula to reconstruct the near-field data needed to perform the classical near-field – far-field transformation with cylindrical scan.
