The aim of this article is to support the following thesis: Edith Stein’s philosophical interest in transcendentals is due to her discovery of their relation to the formal ontology of Husserl. This relation was realized in what can be called her “second reading” of De veritate by Thomas Aquinas and establishes an incentive for dialogue between scholasticism and phenomenology.Objetivo del presente artículo es fundamentar la tesis siguiente: el interés fi losófico de Edith Stein por los trascendentales se debe a la relación que la autora descubre entre estos y la ontología formal de Husserl.
