THE USE OF CODE MIXING BY ENGLISH TEACHER AT ISLAMIC SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL AL-ANWAR KUMPEH

The aim of this research was to investigate code mixing that used by the English Teacher at Islamic Senior High School Al-Anwar Kumpeh. This research used descriptive qualitative research method and the technique of collecting data were observation and interview. The results of this research indicate the code mixing that Teacher used in the classroom depends on students’ ability. This research showed that three types of code mixing that used by English teacher , they are intra sentential code mixing, intra lexical code mixing and involving change of pronunciation. This research showed that some reasons of used code mixing by the teacher, they are Repetition used for clarification habit and relationship between teacher and students
