This webinar, published by Florence-Darlington Technical College, provides information on STEM education at Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs). In the video, Dr. Melissa Salazar explores culturally responsive instruction at HSIs. Salazar defines and describes culturally responsive teaching (CRT), and highlights a student survey tool. Salazar also considers different cultural backgrounds and perspectives, explores a cultural learning and teaching continuum, highlights cultural frameworks, and discusses the outcomes for successful HSIs.
