Miscanthus sinensis (Andersson) is a perennial grass producing high amounts of biomass. I It can be used for energetic purposes through burning or biogas production. A main problem in this crop cultivation consists in vegetative, expensive method of propagation. First preliminary research on seed quality improvement is carried out in order to enable propagation on a large scale. The object of presented experiment was to find out the reason for low germination ability and to search methods of seed quality improvement.
