The Atlanta metropolitan area is among the fastest-growing urban regions in the United States. Particular counties within the metro area are growing substantially and are projected to continue growing for the foreseeable future. This project examines the population geography of Hall County, Georgia, as a case study, using census data. Hall County is located northeast of Atlanta and has become one of the fastest-growing counties in Georgia. Examining recent population geography trends gives insight as to the causes influencing this growth. Among the changes that have occurred in Hall County include the growth of the city of Gainesville’s population, which includes a growth in the Hispanic population.
