Georgia is a state with one of the faster growing populations in recent decades. This project analyzes migration to Georgia based on the 2019 American Community Survey 1-Year Estimates. Using ArcGIS Online, this project examines recent migration trends to the State of Georgia and explores some of the factors that contribute to these trends. People move to Georgia for a plethora of reasons, some being economic, political, or familial. Specifically, this project explores domestic (internal) migration within the United States to the state of Georgia, investigates potential reasons why people moved from other states such as Tennessee, Texas, Florida, South Carolina, and North Carolina (the five largest population changes).
