The article presents updates to the then, new developments and recommendations for swine building as recorded in the 'Swine Housing and Equipment Handbook MWPS-8, prepared by Agricultural Engineers, located in the mid-western US. Addressed are: equipment, design and operation and, newly created flush systems for manure handling. New chapters included are: site selections, facility needs, handling of animals, the use of facilities, grain feed centers, feed processing and the conveyance of feed. Other topics were addressed in this updated publication
