Argelia y la seguridad en el Sahel

The Sahel is becoming the refuge and domination of two major dangers to global security, terrorism and organized crime, which have acquired an undisputed transnational character, which concerns all countries of the world. While this is true and requires the utmost cooperation at the strategic intelligence, armed forces and police levels, there is also a social level which, in the case of Africa, is to deal with its endemic underdevelopment. This multifaceted and international action, we must not forget that it must be channeled through the countries directly affected. In the case of the Sahel, the leadership of Algeria in the region in security matters is indisputable. Its current political situation, the succession of Bouteflika, and the structural problem of its economy that makes it dependent, raises the need to analyze its situation and take it into account in the geostrategic calculations, especially when it is not wasted a unique opportunity of recover Africa and incorporate it as an important player in the fight against terrorism and against organized crime, thus cutting them off to an easy refuge, contributing to international security.Resumen: El Sahel se está convirtiendo en el refugio y dominio de dos grandes peligros para la seguridad mundial, el terrorismo y la criminalidad organizada, que han adquirido un carácter transnacional indiscutible, que concierne a todos los países del mundo. Si bien esto es cierto y, requiere de la máxima cooperación a nivel de inteligencia estratégica, de fuerzas armadas y policía, hay también un nivel social que atender, en el caso de África, su endémico subdesarrollo. Esta actuación multifacética y de nivel internacional, no podemos olvidar que debe ser canalizada a través de los países afectados directamente. En el caso del Sahel, es indiscutible el liderazgo de Argelia en la región en asuntos de seguridad. Su situación política actual, la sucesión de Bouteflika, y el problema estructural de su economía que la hace dependiente, plantea la necesidad de analizar su situación y tenerla en cuenta en los cálculos geoestratégicos, sobre todo a la hora de no desperdiciar una oportunidad única de recuperar a África e incorporarla como actor importante en la lucha antiterrorista y contra el crimen organizado, cortándoles así la retirada a un refugio fácil, contribuyendo a la seguridad internacional.         &nbsp
