Progress in selection and breeding of barley (for beer), depends of available genetic variabilitis, ways of implementing disirable gens in superior genotypes, as well as the selection (choice) efficiency of desirable genotypes, i. e. genetic lines. With high yield and good biological and non-biologic stress resistance, quality barley (for beer) needs to have low content of tailings and proteins, and high content of glucosan's.
