The productivity of cows are along with genetic parameters significantly influenced by the animals diet. The feeding has large influence on the milk yield but also on its composition. The recommendations are that there have to be 13-15% crude fiber in the diet which enables the high percent of milk fat. In high productive animals higher amount of concentrates in the diet is required. Usage of additional concentrate mixture enables better diet balancing. Relatively low amount of hay with good quality silage or fresh green forage with the appropriate concentrate mixture enables good and economic production and full realization of cows genetic potentials.
